The MXL 1006 & 1006BP are goundbreaking large diaphragm condencer microphones. Both have a cardioid polar pattern, solid state preamp circuitry and the latest in balanced transistor output for maximum frequency response. The 1006BP can be used with or without an without an optional battery, making it perfect for field recording, home recording or anywhere phantom power is not available. Both mics come standard with a rugged champagne finish, a swivel mount mic stand adapter and a three-year warranty. Performance, reliability and affordable design is the hallmark of the MXL line of microphones and the 1006/1006BP continues this tradition.
