
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Roberto Quintero grew up in a musical family as the son of Ricardo Quintero and Eglee Correa. In his homeland, Roberto took part in an extensive number of recordings and performances with numerous world-renowned artists. His versatility as a percussionist allowed him to enrich the sound of almost any musical genre, leading to his appearance on over 1,000 professional studio recordings worldwide. Roberto has shared the stage with international stars such as Marc Anthony, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Céline Dion, and Oscar D. Leon, touring with the latter for over five years.
After enormous success in his home country, Roberto decided to broaden his horizons and move to New York, where he currently resides. There, he continues to fulfill many musical aspirations, performing alongside acts from all over the world. His loyalty and dedication to the Afro-Caribbean heritage of Venezuela have brought him a staggering 22 Grammy Awards, among which are collaborations with icons of salsa, latin jazz, pop and instrumental music.
It is hard to imagine the world of percussion without the sounds of Roberto Quintero.
